Flames were coming down from the sun.<\/p>\n
Firewood was kept on the stove,<\/p>\n
Under the burning earth, a frying pan.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My farm plants were drooping, leafless,<\/p>\n
The streams gone dried up, deserted,<\/p>\n
No drop of water for my dying plants.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Sky is cloudless, blue and shiny,<\/p>\n
Frogs became gloomy, left the land,<\/p>\n
Dusty wind carried the dried leaves away.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I asked to the banyan tree, tall and greenish,<\/p>\n
\u201cwater?\u201d, he laughed shaking murmuring canopy,<\/p>\n
And bend down, pointed to own roots.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I took the spade, and started dig a well,<\/p>\n
Removed soil, cracked the rock,<\/p>\n
Streams of sweat started from me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My legs, finally, have touched on wetness,<\/p>\n
Water was oozing out, from all sides,<\/p>\n
Like blood from a wounded skin.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I was fulfilled, like my well,<\/p>\n
Sprinkled the water over the farm plants,<\/p>\n
New sprouts came on the dried branches.<\/p>\n
